Mindrolling Preventative Health Clinic – March 6, 2026

On March 6, 2026, as part of the ongoing efforts to ensure the health and well-being of the monastic sangha and the wider community, Minling Jetsun Khandro Rinpoche together with the administration of Mindrolling Monastery organized a preventative health clinic along with an educational presentation on tuberculosis.

Community nurse Rigzin Wangmo la led a team of healthcare professionals who conducted comprehensive tuberculosis screenings and general medical check-ups for the monks, nuns, staff, and members of the Mindrolling community.  The clinic also included full medical examinations for senior monks and nuns.

In light of the recent resurgence of tuberculosis in the region, organizing a day dedicated to education, testing, and preventative care was both timely and important for safeguarding the health of the monastic community.  During the session, Nurse Wangmo provided an informative presentation explaining the symptoms, causes, prevention, and treatment of tuberculosis, helping to raise awareness among all participants.  All monks, nuns, staff, and community members received the Mantoux test, followed by further examinations and consultations where necessary.

The efforts of Minling Jetsun Khandro Rinpoche and the Mindrolling Monastery administration in supporting healthcare initiatives for the sangha and community are deeply appreciated by all.
